I want to thank Direct-tec for their hard work, support, and kindness. We suffered a major outage and as a result lost a number of Virtual servers. One of these was the print server, and as such we have had to carry out several recovery procedures.

All outages are stressful, but what makes them bearable are the people that pull together in times of crisis and remind you that they are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the impact of these circumstances remains as minimal as possible. It is with all of that in mind that I wanted to thank, Simon, and Direct Tec as a whole. Your support over the years has been fantastic, but last week things reached another level.

Without you and your kind offer to make a site visit and to reinstate the print server, as well as reconfiguring the Papercut software, and visiting end users to confirm connectivity and functionality, we would not have been up and running as quickly as we were. I am also very aware that the work carried out was not part of any existing support or maintenance contract, and that the time on site was not scheduled or planned for. This was the work of friends rather than colleagues and I cannot thank you enough.

We have been very impressed with the way that Direct Tec have assisted us in not only installing a new machine for our office, but also assisting us when we were having trouble with our previous supplier. Max and the team were able to offer advice and help us find the right solution for our business needs. Having looked at reducing our Carbon Footprint in every other aspect of our business – this was the only area we hadn’t explored, primarily as we didn’t know where to start. Therefore, we were more than happy to work with Direct-Tec to achieve this. We are pleasantly surprised that as well as achieving a reduction in our Carbon Footprint, we’ve even saved some money!

Millfield Community School

This year, the photocopier / printer contract that the school had finally came to an end, and so we went through a tendering process to find a company that would best meet our needs, and meet all the required criteria for Best value. Direct-Tec were successful in securing the contract.

We’ve been delighted, so far, with the service that we have received from Direct-Tec, not just in terms of the quality and performance of the machines, but also with the support service that we receive.  A school environment is not an easy one to serve, but this contract has been a real ‘game-changer’ for us.  We have made substantial in-year savings, whilst having managed to upgrade and increase the number of machines we have.

For us it was important to be in contract with a company that communicates well, openly and transparently, responds to queries in a timely way and is capable of really having a professional partnership that suits both parties.  I believe that for us, Direct-Tec fits that bill.

Crowborough Rugby Club

Direct -tec have been associated with Crowborough Rugby Club for nearly 8 years, where we provide the club with a UTAX Colour Copier/ Printer/ Scanner/ Fax machine, which they are delighted with, which has helped us to build and maintain this strong business relationship.

During this time we have worked with members of the rugby club to raise in excess of fifteen hundred pounds towards the building of the Crowborough’s excellent new club house.

We operated a scheme where we donated money to the rugby club’s new building fund for every device that was supplied to a club member.

In addition we sponsored their inaugural golf day some years ago. Providing all the prizes and logistical support to Richard Lambert, the then FD.

As a club Crowborough continue to go from strength to strength and during Direct-tec’s involvement with them they have climbed from playing in Sussex Division 2, to now playing in London South East 2, where the standard is very much higher.

Although the visit was initially meant to be short, Direct-tec identified that our copying machine needed to be re-calibrated and worked until 6pm last night to ensure that the machine was fully serviced and working.

Even after the end of the visit he wanted to stay and clear away all the old parts changed to make sure that both our office was tidy and ready for the next day but also complied with any environmental policies and procedures that you have in place.

Indeed it was refreshing to have a representative from a service provider demonstrate such an excellent level of customer service.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the cathedral with us yesterday. We are very keen to make the change to Direct-tec – one of the main reasons being the fact you will be there to look after our account. It is always much easier to communicate with a person you know and trust.

Just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you for the great service I received on Friday. A representative from your company was very helpful and had a good idea about what I was after, and another representative picked up the Laptop in the afternoon. I hope we can repair this one to have as a spare in the office.

The service levels from when the machine was delivered were excellent. The delivery, network installation went fine and we have a customer care courtesy call after the machine was installed as well. Our account manager is very good and efficient.

I know that I’ve been very demanding on occasions and you have always stepped up to the plate when required and put in some long hours in order to iron out any problems. You have always arrived here with a happy disposition and demonstrated enthusiasm to get the task completed. You have taken whatever I’ve thrown at you on the chin without responding in a negative way, and whilst I often played hardball with you, you took it all in your stride.
